Evernote: Online information capture and retrieval
Ever visit a site or find an important piece of information on a Post-it note only to loose it, never to be retrieved again? Now there’s Evernote, a great little application that allows you to easily capture and retrieve information when you need it.
If you can copy it, photograph it or scan it to your computer or mobile phone, Evernote can store and index it. When you’re ready to retrieve it you can use Evernote’s keyword search or tag index to quickly find it. Cleverly the software can also recognise words within images, including handwriting making it a useful tool for searching images of documents like receipts. I’m sure James Bond’s got it. If not Q’s got some explaining to do!
With downloads for Windows, Mac OS X Leopard, Windows Mobile and of course the iPhone you can save information and retrieve whenever and wherever you are.
